Mud….plain and simple

February 8, 2010

That’s how it is right now at the horse lot, just plain muddy,

tonight I went out with some friends to the horse lot to move some round bales and had a blast, but ended up with mud soaked clothes, awesomnes……

along with hay bales, we crawled under trucks to dig them out, pushed truck in knee deep water, unlocked cars from the outside using a crowbar, several vehicles anteneas, a crop, and a whip, and tried to keep hounds from barking (try it. it’s not easy) but it was all WAY fun!

Tomorrow is my birthday, and to celebrate, i will me playing music tomorrow at the horse lot. It’s going to be awesome.

At the horse lot when we play music, we play bluegrass, kind of stuff, like i’ll fly away, will the circle be unbroke etc. It’s kind of  southern gospel hymns to the bluegrass rythm . also we do a couple show’s every now and then the next one bieng in april. Steve play’s the banjo, me and Mr. Nelson play the guitar, Carley plays the auto harp and the Barrs, and one Marble all sing. It’s really great.

yeah i know i already posted something today but that was before my ride, so anyway… this morning at about 6AM we left the house to go to the horse lot. when we got there we takd up and left. i rode Monteo, Carley rode Croaton, and Mr. Edwards rode Ta Sunka. it was a nice fast canter through the woods. then i got home and me and mom went out for a short mile and a’ half run. got back did some school which included searching for a career path. i want do something that has to do with nature and animals, that takes place out in the push. but i cant seem to think of anything.

fun in the mud

January 26, 2010

last night at the horse lot, we set a goal to move 2 haybails into the muddiest place on earth. we had to use 3 or 4 tarps to roll the hay on then walk around in the ankle (sometimes mid-shin) deep mud to move the tarps back in front of the hay again. I thought it was fun, mom…. not so much. then we loaded to other bails into the back of a trailer and drove them down to a different pasture, the truck did get stuck once but it was easy to get it back out.

So far today…..
